The Angel Nebula - NGC 2170, Van den Bergh 67, 68 and 69
The Angel Nebula in Monoceros is a little photographed or observed area of
emission and reflection nebulosity that lies just to the east of Orion's belt. This
wide field view also captures NGC 2182, 2183 and 2185 below and to the right (east)
of the angel figure, with its bright head, red heart, wings, and flowing robe.
North is to the left in this image.
Honis-modified Canon 450D through an AT8IN f/4, 8-inch Newtonian
29 subexposures totalling 2 hours and 47 minutes.
